things I learned covering the advanced orchestra class today

1. I remember nothing I learned in orchestra in elementary school (4th grade… I quit after the bridge on my viola broke and my mother told me I would have to pay for it if it happened again)

2. Said year of viola experience does not qualify me to conduct an orchestra or enable me to read music

3. When you want the kids to stop playing you do not shout “chill the bows” “rest bows” or “drop the bows” apparently, the proper term is “resting position”

4. It is REALLY easy to fall off the risers… too easy…
